./SecureCRT: /usr/lib/libtiff.so.5: no version information available (required by ./SecureCRT)

i think libtiff is the reason that why it can use fcitx.

I have updated this PKGBUILD for 8.7.3. Due to license issues, this PKGBUILD is not able to automatically retrieve the source at Vandyke's website. Therefore, the file must be manually provided in the PKGBUILD directory, and cannot be installed with an AUR helper.

To install SecureCRT 8.7.3: - install icu63 from AUR first! - Download SecureCRT-8.7.3 - filename is scrt-8.7.3.2279.ubuntu19-64.tar.gz - Place file in same folder as PKGBUILD - run makepkg -si

Until this gets updated, you can install by doing the following: install icu63 separately from the AUR.

Update the PKGBUILD here as follows (changed lines only):

pkgver=8.7.3
incrver=2279
md5sums=('da6bb62ab6435b81eb8326e5d5a6cbe5')

Manually download SecureCRT as per the directions, makepkg, and you're good until the next update.

Kinda new here so might be making a dogs dinner here, just attempted to run the script there utilizing the latest package from vandyke scrt-8.7.3.2279.ubuntu19-64.tar.gz I get the following output

==> Making package: scrt 8.7.2-1 (Thu 17 Sep 2020 23:50:37 BST)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Retrieving sources...
==> ERROR: scrt-8.7.2.2214.ubuntu19-64.tar.gz was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.

Even updating the srcinfo still refers to the previous build. Until a new varient of the aur is built where can I addin the latest build onto to deploy it for the meantime?

@kmcrae you have to install icu63 separately through aur. Seems to still work fine.

kmcrae commented on 2020-07-09 04:54 (UTC)

This is no longer working for me. I cannot install icu63.

Also the fcitx is a qt5 issue you may look at the SecureCRT docs and see if you can find exactly what QT package it may require but I could never find it.

caldog20 commented on 2020-06-18 01:06 (UTC)

That is a problem with the icu63 package itself not my PKGBUILD. I had installed icu63 from aur and it pulled correct deps with makepkg. Including clang.

update :

i didnot up my archlinux system to date , that is why i can not install icu63 from aur directly .

but fcitx problem still
