I just installed it for the first time, seems to be a nice software. I used yaourt, all you need to do is edit the PKGBUILD md5sums part. The first one (seaview.tar.gz) is outdated, and should be 97b2efbab30eaecc200253a8ce069d03 for version 4.5.2.

There is a new website and version for seaview: http://doua.prabi.fr/software/seaview. Failed to compile the source code version myself.

I updated the PKGBUILD for the latest version, but will now abandon it as I no longer use the software.

Working on it. It looks like the update of fltk from 1.1.10 to 1.3.0 broke Seaview, among other things. I have two workarounds that I don't want to put in the PKGBUILD yet: 1) use fltk <=1.1.10 or 2) comment out this line in seaview.cxx: Fl_X::i(my_form)->flush();//so the window gets really drawn. The former is no good as it requires an outdated package. I don't know whether the latter introduces any bugs. I appreciate any help and hope that this gets fixed upstream or in the debian build soon.

md5sums no longer work again

md5sums fixed. For some reason, the author of seaview doesn't version the downloadable files.
