I create pub.sh #!/bin/sh echo "Hello World" I build it with: shc -f pub.sh I have binary: pub.sh.x but if I run it nothing appear, and cpu 100% are these: http://digilander.libero.it/sacarde/np/pub.sh.x.c http://digilander.libero.it/sacarde/np/pub.sh.x

I just compiled and run a shell script with a single echo in it. Can you work your shell script down to a simple test case and submit upstream?

hi, using this version, after run binary, I dont view anythings... and CPU is 100% - I try build 3.8.9b from: http://www.datsi.fi.upm.es/~frosal/sources/shc-3.8.9b.tgz and this works OK thanks

Hi. Thanks for adopting the package. I was going to move it to aur4, but you can maintain it (and hopefully do a better job updating things).

Got no reply from upstream... Following advice from a TU, I updated the PKGBUILD with the new sha256sum, so it should build now. But be aware of the inconsistency mentioned in the other comments. USE THE PACKAGE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

onefire commented on 2014-01-08 20:26 (UTC)

That is strange. This package used to build just fine... I have backup copies of the PKGBUILD and they are all the same. There is no upstream record of a new version, so I emailed the author and I am waiting for his reply. For now, be cautious when building this package (or better yet, do not use it at all).

shc-3.8.9.tgz ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build shc.

I adopted the package and updated the PKGBUILD. It should work fine now.

tredaelli: I have an updated PKGBUILD for 3.8.9 which fixes this, as well as some issues with the makefile. I can either turn over the PKGBUILD and makefile patch to you, or I could take over the package, whichever you prefer.

This PKGBUILD installs the man page in /pkg!
