I was surprised, because Shift dropped the support for linux with Version 8, to see this update.

But after install this "8.0.44-1", the version (Application -> About) still show Version "7.2.18".

The download link seams to always link to the last stable version.

E.g. https://update.tryshift.com/download/version/7.2.2348-stable/linux_32 or https://update.tryshift.com/download/version/7.99.1-stable/linux_32 ;)

So 7.2.18 is the last version and will be the last version - unfortunately

This package conflicts with the AUR package shift-git[1], which provides a completely different application.[2] Could you look into the naming conflict?

I've also posted this request with the other package.

It's a bit confusing because shift is already a built-in bash command. This symlink here is capitalized as Shift.

Works for me. I don't work for Shift so you'll have to take it up with them if it doesn't work for you.
