Alright, both packages are now up in AUR. In case you want to keep using the alpha version, search and install the 'shrew-vpn-client-alpha' package. I'm glad I don't need that libcrypto work-around for the latest stable version any more. I hope you enjoy this new version. Unlike in the alpha version, you can start the GUI using the 'ikea' command. Just make sure you've started the iked daemon before you try to connect to other networks.

Heh yeah, actually I took the alpha version because the prior stable version didn't even compile for me (got some ugly compile errors there). When I tested it, I didn't notice any problems though. I just saw they released a new stable version which compiles flawlessly again. That means I'll replace this packet ASAP and move the current alpha packet to another package.

You should probably add that this is a unstable development alpha-version, in case anyone sees this and assumes it to be the stable version. :)

Run ikea-qt to launch the GUI and add iked to your DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf. I have added a work-around to make it work with the new openssl version, should work well again. Update: Now creates a desktop icon.
