Follow the announcement to "get a list of affected packages":

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qqo '/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl'

Check dependencies:

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qi gnome-perl | grep Depends\ On
Depends On : gnomecanvas-perl gnome-vfs-perl libgnomeui perl

Proper would be to check build dependencies.

Build after increasing the pkgrel of the PKGBUILDs:

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ yaourt -S gnomecanvas-perl gnome-vfs-perl
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ yaourt -S gnome-perl perl-gnome2-wnck perl-goo-canvas perl-gtk2-imageview perl-gtk2-unique

Then launch shutter:

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ shutter >/dev/null 2>&1

Take a screenshot and edit the screenshot.

I get this error when trying to run shutter:

$ shutter
Can't locate in @INC (you may need to install the Gnome2 module) (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.30/site_perl /usr/share/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.30/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.30/core_perl /usr/share/perl5/core_perl) at /usr/bin/shutter line 37.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/shutter line 37.

When installing dependencies, I get indications to run pacman -Qqo '/usr/lib/perl5/5.28'

$ pacman -Qqo '/usr/lib/perl5/5.28'

Does it mean those packages can only be used with perl 5.28?

dschaefer79: Reinstall perl-gtk2-unique. If it doesn't help, please comment at the perl-gtk2-unique AUR package page.

@PhotonX oh, I didn't realise you maintain launchpad as well! Thanks for release and taking care for all of that! I confirm that it works for me as well :)

Confirmed, it works.

@Ralf_Mardorf, invidian: Released Shutter 0.94.3 including the patch by invidian.

@reuixiy: Reuploaded libgnomecanvas to the AUR, please retry installing Shutter, it should work now!

PhotonX commented on 2019-06-12 12:49

@invidian: Well, it was me who merged it, I figured, it would be fine. :D Thanks for the patch!

invidian commented on 2019-06-12 11:03

PhotonX I'm pretty sure my patch should be compatible with previous Perl versions, since both functions provides same functionality from perl 5.6.0 according to documentation.

Also, my patch got merged upstream, so I believe it should be fine to pull it here as well.
