Follow the announcement to "get a list of affected packages":

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qqo '/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl'

Check dependencies:

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qi gnome-perl | grep Depends\ On
Depends On : gnomecanvas-perl gnome-vfs-perl libgnomeui perl

Proper would be to check build dependencies.

Build after increasing the pkgrel of the PKGBUILDs:

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ yaourt -S gnomecanvas-perl gnome-vfs-perl
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ yaourt -S gnome-perl perl-gnome2-wnck perl-goo-canvas perl-gtk2-imageview perl-gtk2-unique

Then launch shutter:

[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ shutter >/dev/null 2>&1

Take a screenshot and edit the screenshot.

@Batou: Please rebuild gnome-perl and maybe other perl dependencies!

Batou commented on 2017-09-03 03:29

After today's huge perl libraries update, shutter stopped working. Tried reinstalling but it was of no help.

Can't locate in @INC (you may need to install the Gnome2 module) (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.26/site_perl /usr/share/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.26/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.26/core_perl /usr/share/perl5/core_perl) at /usr/bin/shutter line 37.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/shutter line 37.

@produnis: Please rebuild perl-gnome2-wnck.

shutter crashes with

"xs/Wnck.c: loadable library and perl binaries are mismatched (got handshake key 0xdb80080, needed 0xde00080)"

Yep, I forgot to change version information and had to reupload the source tarball using the same name, so you need to redownload the new one. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Excellent - thank you @PhotonX!

That command is: pacaur -Sc

BEFORE: "Validating source files with sha512sums... shutter-0.94.tar.gz ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! :: failed to verify shutter integrity

AFTER: update of shutter 0.94-2 proceeds, normally. :-)

PhotonX commented on 2017-08-18 05:05

If you get a validity check failure when building 0.94-2, please empty your source directory such that the source tarball is redownloaded.

0.94-2 is not passing the validity check for me

Ralf_Mardorf commented on 2017-08-17 22:57

I used an AUR helper to update. Running "yaourt -Syua" builds it without issues.
$ pacman -Q shutter; pacman -Qi shutter | grep Build
shutter 0.94-2
Build Date : Thu 17 Aug 2017 07:06:37 PM CEST
$ shutter --full >/dev/null 2>&1
It works. Consider to upload the command you run and it's output and to post the link to the upload here or if the relevant error messages should be short, simply post them here.
