As an alternate workaround I've published a binary "edition" of this AUR package for those that do not care how their binary-firmware-blob was made.

The new AUR package is named "sigrok-firmware-fx2lafw-bin"

The recent problem with building this package it due to some sort of error introduced in a new revision of the "sdcc" package published around start of July 2017.
The error is logged here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/54814

Build fails with:
GEN hw/braintechnology-usb-lps/fx2lafw-braintechnology-usb-lps.ihx
make: *** [Makefile:940: hw/braintechnology-usb-lps/fx2lafw-braintechnology-usb-lps.ihx] Error 1

Downloading the binaries from http://sigrok.org/download/binary/sigrok-firmware-fx2lafw/ and copying them to (e.g.) /usr/local/share/sigrok-firmware/ works.

Unless one is hacking on the Cypress device firmware, I can't think of any reason for a from-source build here.

@ljkenny: thanks for the notification - PKGBUILD and .SRCINFO updated/synced - pkgrel is deliberately not bumped since the release itself have not changed - would create unnecessary noise for most users

Failed to install this package using `pacaur`.

Apparently there is disparity between the PKGBUILD and .SRCINFO files.

:: sigrok-firmware-fx2lafw package(s) failed to install. Check .SRCINFO for mismatching data with PKGBUILD.

sdcc moved to build dep

sdcc is only a build dep and isn't needed once the firmware is compiled
