@dalz Thanks for the tip, I was able to get GCU to work but not X11 like you pointed out.

@Gzack it doesn't work anymore and I couldn't figure out why, there's a couple of comments here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sil-q. The terminal version of the game (sil -mgcu) should be fine though.

@dalz Could you provide some more information on how you were able to fix the issue? I have xorg-fonts-misc as a dependency and have rebuilt the package, but I still get the error message.

I was getting a linker error, but this patch seems to fix it:

I'm pretty sure xorg-fonts-misc is a dependency for the graphical mode, I get a "Couldn't load the requested font. (10x20)" without it.

Could you please add
#! /usr/bin/env bashas the first line of sil.sh? Otherwise it doesn't execute (at least for me).
