Thanks @DosAmp, updated.

Note that the update to 0.4.0 needs two changes to the PKGBUILD:

  • The source directory now uses $pkgname-$pkgver instead of $pkgname-$pkgname-$pkgver.
  • configure.ac script now uses features like AX_CXX_COMPILE_STDCXX_17([noext]), requiring autoconf-archive as makedepends.

@goetzc That did it, thank you. I have no idea why it failed, but removing the src dir and re-downloading fixed it.

@craftyguy It builds fine here. Try cleaning the src directory (the makepkg option -C, --cleanbuild) and show me you full output.

Congratulations. The mtpfs package in [Community] mounts my Nokia/Microsoft whatever phone as a directory with ????????? permissions. The [Extra] package, gvfs-mtp, fails to even recognize the device. This submission, meanwhile, was the first package to successfully mount my phone, so I am sticking with it.
