@kseistrup re PS: The same way how the original uploader can be arbitrarily banned for uploading simplex-bin. :D, they did nothing else but upload the aur package and would have continued maintaining it.

@matthewq337 I understand. In that case I can say upfront I will at most be contributing to the stable releases since I do not really use the desktop version of SimpleX, and I won't be downloading the frequent pre-releases to see if they work.

PS: How come arbitrary AUR users can be made co-maintainers without having to actively say yes to take on the responsibility? That's a surprise to me.

Since I have apparently been made co-maintainer, I'd like to know: Are "we" publishing pre-releases? As far as I can see the latest release is v6.0.0. V6.0.1 is still tagged as "pre-release".

The package builds now (6.0.1-1). However, the PKGBUILD has two lines with sha256sums=(…). Only the last of these lines are correct:

sha256sums=('2ca6fdb49532308258b871ae1272491125baefd3d616248d7c59a496a80512d5')

The one that starts with sha256sums=('dd2b106… is incorrect and should be deleted.

IMHO, rather than calculating the digests ourselves, a wiser path would be to use the sha512sums published on the release page.

I get this error message during installation. ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

Can you please add keyword "chat" somewhere in description, so this package can be found by searching "simplex chat"? Currently such query shows only cli versions
