If you are using a AUR helper, please delete the cache dir for this package and try again.

Okay, that does seem to be the case - I've removed prepare(), thanks.

imlonghao commented on 2023-11-09 03:49 (UTC)

Nope, I'm not using any AUR helper, nor there is no cache directory since I'm using extra-x86_64-build, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/DeveloperWiki:Building_in_a_clean_chroot

The upstream doesn't seem use any submodules, thus prepare() seems pointless. cd "${srcdir}/${_pkgname}" is missing if submodule is really needed.

Unable to reproduce w/ either paru or makepkg. If you're using an AUR helper, did you try clearing the cache directory for this package?

unable to build with extra-x86_64-build

Besides the out-of-data flag message, please also update .SRCINFO file.
