There seems to be an issue with the .desktop file not pointing to the icon properly, could you update the Icon line with this?
Icon=/usr/share/pixmaps/singularityviewer_icon.png

The package now shows to the Nightly Builds, since that's all upstream gives us nowadays :)

ping @GordonGR - This package still doesn't work. Please check my comments below.
I am going to flag this package as outdated again. Please fix the issue in the PKGBUILD instead of reverting my flag.
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/h/harfbuzz/harfbuzz-1.3.4-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz Aborting... Error downloading sources: singularityviewer-alpha
sudoquai commented on 2019-07-16 16:41 (UTC)
Something is wrong here with the PKGBUILD:
source=("https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/singularityview/alphas/SingularityAlpha-x86_64-${pkgver}.tar.bz2" "singularityviewer.desktop" "singularityviewer.launcher" "https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/h/harfbuzz/harfbuzz-${_harfbuzzver}-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz" "https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/c/cairo/cairo-${_cairover}-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz")
The source download doesn't work at all and the install process is exiting.
http://www.singularityviewer.org/ is referring to https://virtual-nexus.xyz so it should be correct.
Please correct this if possible, i've flagged it as outdated for the time.
Thx.

Rather than including older libraries into the package, the viewer will work with the system provided libraries. You can delete all the shipped prebuilt libraries from the viewer's own /lib64 that the system can provide, which leaves libcef, libfmod, and libGLOD. Side note if you are going to make apr and etc dependencies of this package, you should be doing that anyway, because the viewer's start script prepends its own /lib64 to the library search path, which means it will load its own apr and so on even tho the system has them.
Regarding the shader boxes being greyed out, check in gpu_table.txt and compare the graphics card identified in Help > About Singularity, ensuring that a wildcard exists in gpu_table.txt which matches. If not, create one, using the existing entries as a guide.
