Rather than including older libraries into the package, the viewer will work with the system provided libraries. You can delete all the shipped prebuilt libraries from the viewer's own /lib64 that the system can provide, which leaves libcef, libfmod, and libGLOD. Side note if you are going to make apr and etc dependencies of this package, you should be doing that anyway, because the viewer's start script prepends its own /lib64 to the library search path, which means it will load its own apr and so on even tho the system has them.

Regarding the shader boxes being greyed out, check in gpu_table.txt and compare the graphics card identified in Help > About Singularity, ensuring that a wildcard exists in gpu_table.txt which matches. If not, create one, using the existing entries as a guide.

In this newest release the Basic Shader, Advanced Shader (and below) graphics check boxes are greyed out, highlighting that certain drivers cause crashes. This was working before, however, using the amdgpu driver (amd 7850). Is that indeed correct that it causes crashes with this driver?

I added the cairo binaries from the previous version. That should keep it up for a while. But yes, upstream is dead (last commit was five months ago!) despite what they say at times. What can I say! I have switched to Firestorm, to be honest.

BTW, I can't do the same for kokua, because it comes with its own cairo and harfbuzz. Have you got any ideas?

After upgrading cairo package from 1.14.10-1 -> 1.15.8-2 I get the following output on terminal and singularity fails to start:

Running from /opt/singularityviewer
which: no kde-config in (/home/steve/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/lib/hardening-wrapper/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/default/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl)
which: no kde4-config in (/home/steve/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/lib/hardening-wrapper/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/default/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl)
./singularity: line 115: ./et#./refresh_desktop_app_entry.sh: No such file or directory
bin/do-not-directly-run-singularity-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libcairo.so.2: undefined symbol: FT_Get_Var_Design_Coordinates
*** Bad shutdown. ***

Downgrading cairo resolves the issue. Upstream is looking a bit dead. Anything you can do to help with this?

Works perfectly. Thanks!

Done. Please let me know if anything is amiss.

Any chance of getting an alpha package with a compatible harfbuzz like you did for the released version?

I have a problem.
When i launch game i always get error "The following media plugin has failed - media_plugin_cef"

I tried to install cef-minimal from AUR but i didn't help

The afore-mentioned merge request was sent.

I requested this package to be merged into the singularityviewer-alpha one. Please use that instead.
