I'm not sure if the change of name is correct, since the original name of the compiled file is "sjasmplus", like the other one. In the end, you would have the same problem even if you compiled from source, since both assemblers have the same name and of course there would always be the problem of coexistence. I suggest, for those who want both executables, to edit the pkgbuild and give it a new name and remove conflicts, during compilation.

Could this perhaps be installed under a different name? The other sjasmplus package is a separate assembler, it has its own syntax which makes it incompatible with this one.
