To get automatic login, install a package that provides org.freedesktop.secrets, e.g. gnome-keyring.

To get a systray icon, install libappindicator-gtk3. On GNOME, then install the appindicator extension.

I were about to say the same thing. You can simply modify the desktop file as described in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Desktop_entries#Modify_desktop_files

Could we consider allowing a skypeforlinux.conf for passing in customizable flags (useful under Wayland)? Similar feature has been implemented for spotify and Chromium.

@gladykov, not the package issue. Check you have this message for any other package.

I mean the lack of feedback since the deletion request. It is kinda implies you are not interested in repacking the snap.
