I maintain another slrn package and it suffers from the same problem.

It seems it is the uudeview stuff that is causing troubles. If I remove the two --with-uu* lines from the PKGBUILD and change

make UUDEVIEW_LIB="/usr/lib/uudeview/*.o"

to just

make

then this package (and my own) will build on my computer.

That is the output. It does not build. I can build from source using configure, make, and then make install and it works fine. Using the AUR it errors out as in the pastebin.

@Retro64XYZ It looks like a link-time optimization compiler error, not an error that PKGBUILD can mitigate.

What do you mean when you say that “[you are] unable to get the application to work at this time”?

Build is failing

lto-wrapper: fatal error: gcc returned 1 exit status

lslang /usr/lib/uudeview/.o -L/usr/local/ssl/lib -lssl -lcrypto lto1: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault 0xd24962 internal_error(char const, ...) ???:0 0xe2a874 bp_unpack_string(data_in, bitpack_d) ???:0 0x12af0f4 cl_optimization_stream_in(data_in, bitpack_d, cl_optimization) ???:0 0xe2489e streamer_read_tree_bitfields(lto_input_block, data_in, tree_node) ???:0 0xe1fd04 lto_input_tree_1(lto_input_block, data_in, LTO_tags, unsigned int) ???:0 0xe220b7 lto_input_scc(lto_input_block, data_in, unsigned int, unsigned int, bool) ???:0 0xe18351 read_cgraph_and_symbols(unsigned int, char const**) ???:0 0x12ac3ea lto_main() ???:0

I am unable to get the application to work at this time and build fails from AUR.
