@willemw - https://github.com/smplayer-dev/smplayer/issues/632 Its implemented, they are just doing cleanup. Its volatile, but this is a -git package. Personally id add a flag, qt=6 [qt6: adds the qt6 depends, and uses a if/then code block for qt6 config options during build()]. qt=5 [qt5: adds the current qt5 depends, and uses if/then code block for qt5 config options during build()]. Have it set to qt=6 by default, as thats the plasma/arch default now.

believe with qt6, you have to point it at the libraries. I had a updated PKGBUILD locally, i was testing but didnt publish.

I have a lot of PKGBUILDS for current/previous packages i simply dont have time to update unfortunately...

@EndlessEden: Thanks for the heads up. Right now, I only see open issues and only (test) build scripts for MacOS and Windows.

@Willemw - I still keep a eye on this, you should consider porting this to qt6. The source already supports QT6.

Issue comes from pkgver. I get version without 'bad' after deleting pkgver content
But after seeing last commit is 738f87b, I guess that strange 'bad" comes from here

  • rename to smplayer-git
  • add makedepends=git
  • remove makedepends=subversion
  • add optdepends=yt-dlp

It's clearly a git package now, yet git is not in makedepends but subversion is. Please fix. Please see about moving it to the proper name as well (smplayer-git).
