I'm not using it anymore myself. But as long as it builds, it will always install the latest version, so it doesn't really need to be updated.
But if you want to keep up-to-date, I can disown the package so that you can adopt it.

It already depends on qt5-script, which depends on qt5-base.

Please add qt5 to the dependencies. it requires libQT5core.so now

Yes I have the same issue with SMPlayer running under gnome3 using wayland as display manager ... =(
Do you know a fix/workaround?

anyone else having issues under wayland, with mpv.
video window doesnt want to stay in smplayer...
