Would anything like this be relevant to the B450 chipset? I have an MSI B450 Tomahawk, it has an ALC892 chipset, and it crackles in Discord output when PulseAudio has the timer driven event mode enabled.

It does appear to have a 0x10EC / 0x0892 connected through a device identified as 0x1022 / 0x1457, so I guess this patch is relevant to it. I'll give it a try if I'm ever in Linux again.

E: Yeah, this appears to be for AMD chipsets in general, not just for the ALC1220. It depends on the HD Audio codec device, vendor 0x1022 device 0x1457, and has affected both ALC1220 and ALC892 devices on AMD boards.
