@MarsSeed: Changed it, thanks for the tip!

Please don't use
mkdir
andcp
inpackage()
, useinstall
, and set the required permission attributes with it (755 for executables, 644 for everything else). Thank you in advance.huantian commented on 2021-07-07 03:41 (UTC)
@GCMarvin makes sense, restarting does fix the save file issue. Perhaps I'll report this upstream later.

@huantian: Good to hear it's working now, my guess is that your OpenGL required a reboot for some reason. Regarding the save file, I noticed that too, sometimes it seems like it tries to load an invalid save game, immediately starting a new run fixes it. I highly suspect it's a bug, however I only maintain this package, I'm not actively involved in the development of the game, so I'm not entirely sure.

@GCMarvin The package seems to be working now, seemingly fixed either by a system restart or maybe reinstalling the package? I guess I should've tried that earlier, thanks for your help! Edit: one thing, on a new game, the save file doesn't seem to be completely empty (starting on round 2 with an item, level 3 carver). I haven't actually played this game much, is this intended?

@GCMarvin I get a different error:
No protocol specified Error: unable to open display :0
Running it without sudo gives me a bunch of info, no error. I can send the output if needed.Marvin0509 commented on 2021-07-02 08:34 (UTC)
@huantian: Unfortunately it seems like this error is unrelated to the package and the game, and has something to do with a broken OpenGL/Nvidia installation. To confirm, would you mind telling me if the output of
sudo glxinfo
yields a similar error?huantian commented on 2021-07-02 03:15 (UTC)
I'm getting a fun error when trying to start the game:
