I think there is a missing dependency:

ERROR! LuaJIT library not found. Go get it from http://www.luajit.org/ (or) Try compiling without openAppId using '--disable-open-appid' configure: error: "Fatal!"

I have installed luajit (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/luajit/) manualy and it works.

Snort fail to install due to a 404 error from curl:

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404

I get an error during compilation. Is there a missing dependency?

sp_rpc_check.c:32:10: fatal error: rpc/rpc.h: No such file or directory

make[4]: *** [Makefile:487: sp_rpc_check.o] Error 1

Hello, I found two windows trojan viruses via clamscan after installation. It is highly ironic it has happened with snort. And, I am most disappointed; I would encourage you to recheck your compressed package for any hidden "treats". Thanks. flex and bison are both in base-devel group and core repository. To compile packages from AUR you need base-devel loaded. It does not need to be listed as a dependency unless the package relies on a specific version.
