Thank you for help (@Musikolo) and notification (@justforgetme) I updated to 4.5.2 and done a overhaul of the packaging process. It should build and run fine now.

This doesn't install anymore. the hash sums are different and the application doesn't seem to have the same structure as the original.

@dguihal: Please add the following to changes: - Create the soapui.desktop file: [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Exec=soapui %u Icon=soapui Terminal=false Name=sopaUI GenericName=Grafical interface for testing Web Services GenericName[es]=Interfaz gráfico para probar Servicios Web Categories=Development;IDE; - Get the icon to be used by the previous file: wget http://freeapps.co.uk.s3.amazonaws.com/images%2Fthumbnails%2Fsoapui.png -O $pkgname.png - Install the above two files (PKGBUILD): install $pkgname.desktop -D ${pkgdir}/usr/share/applications/$pkgname.desktop install $pkgname.png -D ${pkgdir}/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/$pkgname.png I hope you find the above useful. Best regards.

It seems that somewhere in soapui-settings.xml there is entangled a strange path which causes the following error: 09:45:51,114 ERROR [WorkspaceImpl] Failed to save workspace: /home/rzeznik/../../TestPBE-workspace.xml (Permission denied) java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/rzeznik/../../TestPBE-workspace.xml (Permission denied)

The PKGBUILD did not work for me. Error line 24: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-username/aur-soapui/PKGBUILD: Line 24: cd: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-username/aur-soapui/src/soapui-4.5.0: File or directory not found. I did the following steps manually to solve this: 1) mkdir src/ 2) unzip -d src/ soapui-4.5.0-linux-bin.zip 3) makepkg

4.5.0 is out. I tried a manual update of the pkgbuild (just putting in the new version and checksums) and reinstalling with yaourt, but it looks like the permissions were minorly munged with the update. It was necessary for me to manually add the execute flag to the launcher shell script: chmod +x /usr/share/soapui/bin/soapui.sh Once I did that, the new version worked swimmingly.

Please update the ${SOAPUI_HOME}/bin/soapui.sh - the last line: java $JAVA_OPTS -cp $SOAPUI_CLASSPATH com.eviware.soapui.SoapUI "$@" to ${JAVA_HOME}/bin/java $JAVA_OPTS -cp $SOAPUI_CLASSPATH com.eviware.soapui.SoapUI "$@" This way i can run it on different java without need to do any hacks. Thanks a lot!
