As upstream socat2 seems inactive, I drop this package in favor of socat2.

can't I produce a patch to the git repository of this package, instead of a git repository that contains all the packages you maintain? I think it's more logical

I did a small change to allow installing it next to the standard socat. http://lpaste.net/152939 I am just renaming everything with a "2" suffix. It works.
