The current version of OpenSSL in Core (1.1) seems to break this package. The dependency should be changed to openssl-1.0 and the makefile should be patched accordingly. EDIT: updated the PKGBUILD off the top of my head, works for me: https://gist.github.com/osvein/744a4edd25d97ed1cdb3c5f219c3acee also opened an issue: https://github.com/RigsOfRods/socketw/issues/2

Looks like the socketw.patch from rigs of rods is no longer available, thus causing this build to fail. I have found a solution by switching to a new git repo of socketw that has the necessary patches built in for Rigs of Rods. Here is the new pkgbuild, perhaps you can update: http://pastebin.com/WaFN8X4C
