YEEEEHA, THX A LOT WorMzy, moving joerch.ttf out of my fonts-Folder solved my problem. Textmaker18 is now working. THX A LOT FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP!

@Produnis: Could you try moving joerch.ttf out of /home/produnis/.fonts, and see if that fixes things? Looking at the strace output, it looks like this file is being lseeked at the time of the initial SEGV (SEGV_MAPERR) signal. My guess is that file is corrupted, though the backtrace from the coredump may give more information..

I tryed update libidn-133-compat (I had already it) but none. Thanks for hint.

Whoops, forgot to bump the pkgrel earlier. Apologies to anyone who grabbed the updated PKGBUILD in the meantime, any AUR helper that tracks updates will now say you're out of date, even though you've got the fixed deps.

I've cobbled together and uploaded a compat package for libidn (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libidn-133-compat/) and updated this package to depend on it.

Produnis, I doubt this will help you or simona, but just in case, could you try updating? I'll try to find time to look over the log file soon.

Hi, I tried to open textmaker18 on the console, but I got the error message "/usr/share/smoffice2018/textmaker: error while loading shared libraries: libidn.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". Has somebody an idea how to solve this error without creating a symlink?

Thanks Simon

Hi, "LC_ALL=C strace -f textmaker18 2> debug.txt" gives a 8mb txt-File:

https://www3.zippyshare.com/v/kSjD6k0A/file.html

......and "Speicherzugriffsfehler" is the german word for SegFault

WorMzy commented on 2018-09-13 20:47 (UTC)

Thanks, produnis. There's nothing jumping out at me from your env output, although your PATH is weird for a modern Arch install (/sbin, /bin and /usr/sbin are all symlinks to /usr/bin, so having these entries is redundant). The strace might be more use if it was in English (use LC_ALL=C strace textmaker18). One thing that stands out (although this may be a mistranslation) is that the application terminates with "Speicherzugriffsfehler", or "Memory Access Error". Could you be running out of memory? Please post the backtrace from the coredump (in English too, please)
