on my x86_64 with Catalyst drivers I get a failure: --- Error Message --- Shader Compilation Failed Is there a cure for this? Am I the only one?

@Enverex. Solar2.png at the humblepull.wolire address works for me right now. Maybe it was down for a little while.

Enverex commented on 2013-04-25 15:53 (UTC)

This is failing because solar2.png isn't included and "http://humblepull.wolfire.netdna-cdn.com/static/hashed/70a3f0cb518b79df6daa9d4a37a955c26a96d593.png" doesn't seem to work anymore.

@tsester. Yes, it should work without pulseaudio. You may need lib32-alsa-lib, but the lib32-libpulse is a runtime dependency if you use pulseaudio only.

is it possible to play without pulseaudio?

meridius commented on 2013-03-17 08:51 (UTC)

You're right. I removed lib32-openal-git and lib32-alsa-lib and kept only lib32-libpulse and the game works fine.

@meridius. Hmm... I think one of lib32-openal-git's dependencies pulled it in (in has build dependencies that lib32-openal doesn't have). lib32-alsa-lib and lib32-libpulse are probably the dependencies that lib32-openal was missing. Concerning the 500x300px thing: yeah I see that, too. It is random; sometimes when starting it is the wrong size and others it is fine. Generally changing to/from fullscreen fixes the issue.

OK, I think I got it. The key was to install lib32-openal-git, after that there was no error, just the game window was cut out to, I'd say, 500x300 px from my 1680x1050. But it may be some game bug with its default settings because once I guessed how to switch its display settings it was working at full screen just fine.

@ejona86: I think we moved on a bit. Although there are still errors (but a different ones http://pastebin.com/JpA3E8Fi ) there is also an attempt to display some window. The errors are the same with or without commented-out dependencies.

@meridius: I have limited the dependencies to what I think is absolutely necessary, based on OpenTK documentation and what libraries were shipped with the game. Tell me if you have trouble.
