OK, I just pushed a big update:

1) SHASUMS should now be corrected.

2) I have tweaked the deb file to include the pkgver in the filename so that this shouldn't happen again.

3) I have removed the desktop patch that I added after the update to 0.4.0 since the new version corrected the error in the desktop file.

4) Removed unnecessary dependencies per comments. Will tweak more for next update.

Let me know if you have any more issues. Thanks.

@username227 you need to rename the source, until that Spacedrive-linux-x86_64.deb ... FAILED will be the norm, users don't have to typically deleted the source

This should have been fixed since October 2023 https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spacedrive-bin?O=20#comment-937818

Hello,

  • depends ffmpeg4.4, webkit2gtk, openssl-1.1 are not needed; are used ffmpeg, webkit2gtk-4.1, and openssl

License should be updated, see:

About

I have an error. It says "One or more files did not pass the validity check!"

@arcaneninja i just updated so there's no issues on my end. I have found that with some aur helpers, you need to clear the cache. Clear the cache so the old file gets deleted and try again.

The source file need to be renamed like this source_x86_64=("spacedrive-${pkgver}-x86_64.deb::https://github.com/spacedriveapp/spacedrive/releases/download/${pkgver}/Spacedrive-linux-x86_64.deb")

@username227 it works! thanks!

Also the package page and the PKGBUILD are inconsistent, on the page, the version is 0.4.1 (1:0.4.1-1) and in the PKGBUILD the pkgver is 0.4.0. The PKGBUILD is out of date

edit: oh wait nevermind! It's awesome how I can comment on an AUR page and it will be fixed almost immediately after I comment! The community is awesome!

I have an error. It says "One or more files did not pass the validity check!"

==> Validating source files with sha256sums...
    Spacedrive-linux-x86_64.deb ... FAILED
    desktop_patch.patch ... Passed

can you fix the checksum?

btw, the same error occurs when i try to open simplescreenrecorder. i think the problem is with the ffmpeg not with this package. :}
