tried to open preferences, it immediately crashed, this was in the console:

(spacefm:140612): SpaceFM-WARNING **: 14:47:33.689: No root settings found in /etc/spacefm/ Setting a root editor in Preferences should remove this warning on startup. Otherwise commands run as root may present a security risk.

_subver=10 drops the "-gtk3" in the name. Now the source is

http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/spacefm/spacefm_${pkgver}-${_subver}_amd64.deb

However, it is not worth the effort, as spacefm is still buggy or at least very slow.

Even though it works better than aur/spacefm, aur/spacefm-bin _subver=10 is also unusable.

Main package is sourced from debian stable. However, the UI dialogs (settings, about) and app icon were missing, so I sourced them from redhat rawhide and transferred them to my own git repo.
