@Mr.Smith1974: to test the lastest changes. They are tremendously cool and important for the project. By the way, from the official 2.3.0 release there is already an AppImage in the official repo:

@leillo1975 I don't know why build a project from 23 GB of source code on your computer. I created a package from appimage: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/speed-dreams-appimage

Yes, I opened that ticket a few weeks ago. It's funny because both flatpak and AppImage work without problems.

I just tried to build and got the same error. We already have the described problem: https://sourceforge.net/p/speed-dreams/tickets/1248/

For some time now it has been having problems building and not working. Please, someone who knows can take a look at it and see if they can repair it.

Since a few days ago it is also necessary to install also Java (openjdk-17-src) for the trackeditor

Trying again with a newer svn commit, I am now able to build properly.

If I don't build in a clean chroot I get the following error:

/usr/bin/ld: ../../usr/lib/lib/libtgfclient.so: undefined reference to `glActiveTextureARB'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [src/main/CMakeFiles/speed-dreams-2.dir/build.make:137: usr/games/speed-dreams-2] Error 1
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:3416: src/main/CMakeFiles/speed-dreams-2.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
/usr/bin/ld: ../../../usr/lib/lib/libtgfclient.so: undefined reference to `glActiveTextureARB'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [src/tools/trackgen/CMakeFiles/sd2-trackgen.dir/build.make:256: usr/games/sd2-trackgen] Error 1
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:3524: src/tools/trackgen/CMakeFiles/sd2-trackgen.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [Makefile:136: all] Error 2

upstream issue: https://sourceforge.net/p/speed-dreams/tickets/1165/

It seems that @schnedan and @loup have submitted incomplete error logs where the actual error is not specified.

build failure:

==> Validating source files with md5sums...
    speed-dreams.desktop ... Passed
    speed-dreams ... Skipped
==> ERROR: Cannot find the subversion package needed to handle svn sources.
==> ERROR: Build failed, check /var/lib/aurbuild/x86_64/acxz/build

maybe subversion should be added to makedepends.

Well, thats a maintainers job, dealing with upstream and such. For sure its not a users duty to resolve the problems by themself.
