pacaur seem to have a problem, makepkg works just fine. I removed the prepare() function and moved it into build(). This makes it work with pacaur for me. Please try if this resolves your issue.

error upon building:

==> Starting package()... install: cannot stat '/home/neorun/.cache/pacaur/speedreader/src/speedreader.desktop': No such file or directory ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
