For whomever picks this up, it looks like the upstream URL no longer exists and can be retrieved using the Wayback Machine at the following URL:

This is abandonware and has incompatibilities with modern autoconf/automake.

I no longer use this software and do not know how to resolve the build issues, so I am disowning the package in the hopes that someone else can work these issues out.
