this package downloads the latest state from a git repository.

So, you must:

Rename the package to spi-config-dkms-git (i.e. add the -git-suffix),
write a proper pkgver() function that ensures strictly monotoneously increasing $pkgver with every upstream commit,
add conflicts=('spi-config-dkms') and provides=('spi-config-dkms') or provides=("spi-config-dkms=${pkgver}"), the latter if $pkgver has some "real" version information.
