Ok guys, I've taken over the package and pushed working updates.

NinjaRMM can use Splashtop Streamer for remote desktop.

However this application doesn't come with a mime handler for st-rmm. Even when adding the handler by myself, the application is still unable to open the link.

(SRStreamer:146223): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 19:16:47.859: This application can not open
files.

What is going on? Is that feature not supported on linux?

If you'll look inside of archive — you'll find that there is no binary

asm0dey commented on 2019-01-03 09:20 (UTC)

@linuxyz I've tried, but can't find source/binary version of software. surce version contains only some files…

I can add you as co-maintainer if you wish

linuxyz commented on 2019-01-03 06:15 (UTC)

Otherwise, it works fine. There's a small bug where quitting the program with the GUI doesn't end the instance in fact (and it complains another instance is running if restarting the program).

@asm0dey This one (found on the official site https://www.splashtop.com/linux) is not good? https://www.splashtop.com/wp-content/themes/responsive/opensource_remote_download.php?version=438

community/python2-libappindicator is the mandatory dependency (otherwise fails to start)

Builds fine now, but segfaults on start on one system, and won't allow connections on the other.

If anyone is interested here is how you can build this: wget https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/x/xine-lib/xine-lib-1.2.6-8-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz sudo pacman -U xine-lib-1.2.6-8-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys FCF986EA15E6E293A5644F10B4322F04D67658D8 yaourt -S ffmpeg-full #when it asks if you want to remove ffmpeg, just say yes! yaourt -S libx264-142 yaourt -S splashtop-streamer And finally you are done!

tbjta commented on 2016-01-28 07:54 (UTC)

Finally got this to work. You need to install an older version of libx264 to make this work. Luckily it's in the AUR under the name libx264-142. :-)
