@gesh yt-dlp is up to date. I didn't have it installed until I tried downloading this package. I agree that transitive dependencies should not be specified so that seems to indicate that the yt-dlp package is the problem then.

@ddelnano Am surprised you hit that exception -- is your yt-dlp up to date? If the cryptodomex dep was only added because of it, I must protest -- PKGBUIlDs should only list package dependencies, not transitive dependencies. (The wiki advice is just not to fall in the trap of assuming package dependencies will be satisfied since they're also transitive dependencies -- that's not a stable assumption)

@ddelnano sorry. looks like yt-dlp needs 'python-pycryptodomex' which was already installed in my system, so it worked in my system without any problem. form now i will test it in a clean container than push the update.

I'm seeing the following exception after installing this package for the first time. Any advice on how to fix this issue with pycryptodomex?

If missing dependencies are not downloaded, enter this command: * pip install dlp ytmusicapi rapidfuzz pytube spotipy

spotdl 3.5.1 is currently broken, so I delayed updating it on purpose.

EDIT: Issue has been fixed in version 3.5.2, which this package has been updated to.

I made a ytmusicapi AUR package and added it as a dependency.

Slight OT: I'm having issues with pytube/pytube3 locally, since they both conflict and each name their package 'pytube', but their package metadata 'pytube3'. For that reason, spotdl doesn't seem to be able to find it. Is anyone else experiencing those issues?

EDIT: Found the issue, it will hopefully be fixed as soon as the python-pytube package is updated.

The newest version of this package depends on ytmusicapi. This can only be downloaded through pip for the time being until an AUR PKGBUILD is made.
