For file-transfer to work on non-reparenting WM's like ratpoison and dwm, I had to first run: "export _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1". I used JRE7-openjdk to test with, as lightest JRE. Either use it direct from ssvnc(the GUI frontend), or do like me and use just the ssvncviewer, and run with: "ssvncviewer host:port -env SSVNC_ULTRA_FTP_JAR=/usr/lib/ssvnc/util/ultraftp.jar". Btw, if wanting to have turbovnc's accelerated tight-encoding patch enabled for faster speed on LAN/fast-broadband, then i've posted a PKGBUILD link in my comment in the ssvnc-nojava aur package(top comment).

@accensi debian patch for openssl 1.1.0 has been adopted, should now work

accensi commented on 2017-06-10 12:35 (UTC)

Package is broken. Several compilation errors in ultravnc.

I added an ssnvc-nojava AUR package for those that want to build this without java. java is only needed for ultravnc file transfer as far as I know.

debian package lists stunnel as a dependency thus adding it to pkgbuild

TheAmigo commented on 2014-03-12 14:10 (UTC)

Works, but I had to install stunnel... should that be in the depends line or is there some way to use ssvnc without stunnel?

Package is broken now, because of the https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/34565

tk should be probably added as dependency. It can not run without it: └──> $ >> ssvnc /usr/lib/ssvnc/util/ssvnc.tcl: line 3: exec: wish: not found Possibly tcl too (didnt test it without)

@buergi: thanks, fixed now

Guess you confused java-environment and java-runtime, the first should be in makedepends, the second in depends. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Java_Package_Guidelines#Dependencies for more information
