After installing stacher for the first time on my laptop I was prompted to install yt-dl and ffmpg I clicked okay to both of them. After they were installed I tried downloading a playlist but the prompt to select which songs to download was empty only saying 1/1 selected I clicked ok, and the download failed instantly. I checked the error log which said "line 1: syntax error near unexpected token newline' /home/gyr/.stacher/yt-dlp: line 1:<!DOCTYPE html>'" . I had stacher installed on my second pc running ubuntu I replaced the yt-dlp file with the one present on that install and it fixed the problem

Can you please explain a bit more what's happening? are you talking about the plugin update tat happens after launching the application?

Try changing the YT-DLP settings in the Settings>Advanced and see if it works

Hi the yt-dlp file appears to be wrong, it contains html code instead of being an executable

I have the same issue about SHA256sums.

To fixed that, I changed these 2 variables in the PKGBUILD.

source=("stacher7_${pkgver}_amd64.deb::https://s7-releases.stacher-cloud.com/s7-releases/stacher7_${pkgver}_amd64.deb")
sha256sums=('f9d0a0c9200cd632f80b1c036dec8671e8f801c7326ae265401fb01d7b273df6')

I fixed the URL and the SHA256sums.

sha256sum is correct in the pkgbuild I don't know why its failing, if anyone else is having trouble installing use the skip flag

it is failing the sha256sums check, when you get prompt to edit PKGBUILD type yes and replace the existing sha256sums with "SKIP" or if you are using helpers like yay or paru then you can use skipchecksums flag --mflags --skipchecksums

edit: I see you are using trizen, trizen -S stacher7 --skipchecksums should work
