@dataprolet You're right. Thanks for correcting me. The What's New Tab in settings made it look like I'm using a older version, and 3.200.4 is the latest version.

@skewer7010 I assume you got confused by the releases. The latest release is v3.198.5. https://github.com/standardnotes/app

The package is 10 Releases behind the official release version.
The latest version is 3.200.4 but this package is on 3.198.5.
Can you update it to the latest version?

I had the same issue with paru, the problem is that there was at some point a PKGBUILD that specified pkgver=3.195.29 and if paru cached this one it won't download the new one.
I fixed the problem by running paru -Syu --redownload which forces downloading the new PKGBUILD.

Good to hear. Might have been an issue with paru. Remember that AUR helper are not officially supported.

I re-installed it manually with "git clone" and "makepkg -si" and the issue is gone!

im simply updating standardnotes-bin with paru.
the command i use?
paru
that's it!
look at the other comments from cb474 and taivlam.
taivlam even gives a tip on how to fix this...

How are you installing the pkg? Your downloading the wrong file (v3.195.29), even though the PKGBUILD references version v3.195.13. Try to build using makepkg -sif.

i have the same error as the others:

How do i fix it?

The last update simply reverted the broken PKGBUILD and I have no issues installing. Please add more context to your error.
