A little more investigation, it's only an issue when running the linux-hardened kernel. It would appear to be needing access to something the hardened kernel will not permit.
For others who encounter this, standardnotes-desktop built and ran without issue, except at the time of writing, I needed to update PKGBUILD to reference the current release version of Standard Notes, as the package hadn't been updated in a while.
@lmartinez-mirror, it installs, but fails to run, with this error:
[97794:0214/121906.374927:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(157)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /opt/standardnotes-bin/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

Just wondering if libdbusmenu and libindicator should be optional dependencies, because standardnotes expects libdbusmenu-gtk.so.4 and libindicator.so.7.
This is stuck at 3.9.15, there are already new releases: https://github.com/standardnotes/desktop/releases
I grabbed them from GitHub, but I'm starting to think they may not be the keys after all. I'll remove them whenever I can, but in the meantime you should be able to pass --skippgpcheck or something similar to your AUR helper to ignore them.
