hmm, I changed the script to use STEAM_RUNTIME_HEAVY=1 because I was too lazy to keep updating the scripts. STEAM_RUNTIME_HEAVY should keep working over steam updates without any changes.

Note that while STEAM_RUNTIME_HEAVY seems to counteract the idea of not using the steam runtime, it's a particular runtime used only for the webhelper and not for games.

I still don't like bundled runtimes, but I like manual work every steam update even less. Though if someone else feels strongly enough I can explain what I did and orphan this package for them.

Again no longer appearing to be working, sadly. Steam build Aug. 21st

Thanks for updating this all the time!

Thanks for the note. Pushed a version that should work with the build of 17 july.

Again, it may be necessary to kill and restart steam-native-webhelper once if it's not working.

This no longer appears to be working for me, since the latest steam client updates. I have rebuilt and re-launched the package with no success. Steam build version is from July 17th.

Yup just tested and running steam-native-webhelper again manually did correct it for me. Thanks!

Just got an update to a build from Jun 14 2019, 18:46:14, still working.

Actually, I'm running a version built on June 6, at 00:22:35. If it's still not working, could you also list the build date from Help -> About Steam?

@cubethethird: Because of the hacky way this works, you will need to restart steam-native-webhelper at-least once after a steam update before it will work again. Could you try after restarting steam-native-webhelper? Make sure steam is really not running, it likes to stick around in the background.

If it's still not working, let me know. I haven't had a steam update more recent than 30 may, and it should be working for that version.

No longer seems to be working for me with the latest Steam update.
