Heredoc strings allow for variable substitution, so you could put the following in the autoinstall: <installpath>${pkgdir}/opt/stmcufinder</installpath> This way it works independent of the build directory that is used.

If you do not use BUILDDIR=/tmp/makepkg in your /etc/makepkg, than you have to fix <installpath>...<installpath> in the auto-install.xml. For example, in case if you are using the yay, then the line should look like <installpath>/home/username/.cache/yay/stmcufinder/pkg/stmcufinder/opt/stmcufinder</installpath> btw version 6.1.0 is out
