@Eyeball I think you should install
stoat-desktop-bin. Thestoat-desktop-gitwas an unstable version, and need to build on you local machine.Eyeball commented on 2026-02-28 22:55 (UTC)
Which version should the average person install? How does this differ from "stoat-desktop-git"? I can see it says "prebuilt version" but I've no clue what that actually means.

Hey, stoat-desktop.png has changed since they're further into the rebrand and has a new logo Current hash for icon@3x.png is
4acebba7ff06ee155151f4ee579e9951594e2fedbf8d5bb85b4190a660053045I do agree with @Azakidev though, checking the sha256 sum of the image is unnecessaryjaskor commented on 2026-02-14 15:36 (UTC)

Heya, head's up: The stoat-desktop.png now has a different sha256 due to the rebrand changes
The new hash is
4acebba7ff06ee155151f4ee579e9951594e2fedbf8d5bb85b4190a660053045Although I'd recommend skipping hash verification on the the image altogether as it doesn't affect the app itself
