i use bsdtar in my rpm/deb based packages long long long time ago. Is more, I think rpm extract is a bsdtar wrapper greetings

@sl1pkn07 bingo. that works! thanks for tracing down that unmasked URL for me (and letting me know bsdtar handles RPMs! apparently that's been the case since libarchive 2.8.0. who knew?) changes made and pushed. thanks again!

ops. bad url http://docs.avagotech.com/docs-and-downloads/raid-controllers/raid-controllers-common-files/1.20.15_StorCLI.zip TIP. not need rpmextractor, bsdtar ([CORE] libarchive) can handle rpm packages

sl1pkn07- neither fetch the actual zip. they still only fetch the 404 html as the zip file.

try with this in the pkgbuild DLAGENTS=('http::/usr/bin/curl -qb "" -fLC - --retry 3 --retry-delay 3 -o %o %u') or DLAGENTS=('http::/usr/bin/curl -LC - -O')

@sl1pkn07 have you actually tried using upstream source? "[bts@cylon storcli]$ cat 1.20.15_StorCLI.zip <html> <head><title>Document Not Found</title></head> <body>Document Not Found</body> </html>" that's why i host it myself. it requires an agreement to download. anyways, updated to 1.20.15.

please, use upstream link http://docs.avagotech.com/docs/1.19.04_StorCLI.zip

@wzyboy ah, yeah- megacli is legacy, which is my logic behind excluding it. i figured if you'd be installing one, you wouldn't be installing the other (some cards do indeed only work with megacli, but they tend to usually be older cards.) i'll remove the conflict, though. i didn't consider people would want both installed since typically only one or the other works, and they do install in different locations so they should be compatible.

StorCLI and MegaCLI could be installed side-by-side without any problems. It should not have "conflicts=(megaraid-cli)" line in PKGBUILD. (Just met a Dell server where only MegaCLI works but StorCLI not...)

Please note the following additions: # Bug reports can be filed at https://bugs.square-r00t.net/index.php?project=3 # News updates for packages can be followed at https://devblog.square-r00t.net (If you want an RSS-feed only pertaining to my AUR packages, you can subscribe to https://devblog.square-r00t.net/rss/?category=aur in your favourite RSS reader.) Note that you should still use the AUR web interface for flagging packages as out-of-date if a new version is released; the aforementioned bug tracker is to aid in issues with building/packaging/the PKGBUILD formats/etc. specifically. GPG signature "errors" are explained here: https://devblog.square-r00t.net/articles/a-note-on-using-gpg-signatures-in-pkgbuilds Please read; it's not a bug. Thanks!
