@leonnelc you need to rebuild qt5-webengine, for spare time you can also use pre-builds I provide; see pinned comment on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt5-webengine

I'm getting this error: QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component qrc:/main.qml:2:1: plugin cannot be loaded for module "QtWebEngine": Cannot load library /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtWebEngine/libqtwebengineplugin.so: (libvpx.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

@bkmo this is a QT application, so I'm not quite sure your issues are happening while building this specific package. Can you provide a build log by using

Now Stremio doesn't start without python-pyqt5-webengine installed, I'm starting to wonder if this is an issue with my system, but perhaps this information will at least be useful for anyone else having issues.

I believe you need to add qt5-quickcontrols as a dependency, after a recent update Stremio isn't starting without that package installed.
