I gave a try to run sumwars as root, "sudo sumwars" in terminal but it crash at load screen?
Also tried to run as normal user, but it crash at load screen with segmentation fault.

@swiftscythe: A lot of thanks by your fast response and your tip. The game is running here again.

@Ravenman: you need to rebuild sumwars against the new boost libraries :)

The last system upgrade broke sumwars:

[user@desktop ~]$ sumwars
sumwars: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[user@desktop ~]$

[user@desktop ~]$ pacman -Qs boost
local/boost 1.57.0-2
Free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries - development headers
local/boost-libs 1.57.0-2
Free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries - runtime libraries
[user@desktop ~]$

I have installed the game in other computer and there is running:

[user@laptop ~]$# pacman -Qs boost
local/boost-libs 1.56.0-3
Free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries - runtime libraries
[user@laptop ~]$

What's wrong here?

Fixed URL, sorry for the delay...

Lone_Wolf commented on 2014-06-11 11:26

looks like the url is wrong/has changed and should include sumwars-0.5.8-src.tar.bz2

try downloading manually, then renaming it to sumwars-0.5.8.tar.bz2 and put it in the same folder as where you have the PKGBUILD.

seems to depend on boost

Lone_Wolf commented on 2012-12-13 10:54

doesn't build anymore against current archlinux lua51 .

it looks like cmake finds lua5.2 instead of lua51 (bot are installed on my system), but i have no idea how to tell cmake to use lua51 folders.
Disowning package
