@ulukyn: thanks, I updated the lauchner.

The desktop-file is taken from upstream, so you might want to file a bug here:

ulukyn commented on 2016-09-07 22:11

@boenki: The "sunflower" script on the snapshot don't start with any arguments.
I have modified the file "/usr/bin/sunflower" to :
> #!/bin/bash
> exec python2 /usr/share/sunflower/ $*

Another suggestion, the /usr/share/application/sunflower.desktop have the line:
> Exec=sunflower %U
But sunflower need -l or -r argument to open an URI. I have changed that by:
> Exec=sunflower -l %U

Version 0.3 is out. :)

atommixz commented on 2014-12-18 13:07

dependency required gnome-icon-theme. Not enough hicolor-icon-theme

MeanEYE commented on 2014-08-29 08:47

Apparently librsvg is also required. Most systems get this library pre-installed. If absent GLib just ignores it and throws an error when we try to set window icon.

MeanEYE commented on 2014-08-03 10:15

If you wish. Without it Sunflower doesn't accept command line parameters, but it's not required.

boenki commented on 2014-08-03 10:14

thanks: in the DEPENDS-file I read: optional depends on python2-argparse. Should I add it as another optdepend? Again a SHORT explanaition please, if it can be used. Thanks.

MeanEYE commented on 2014-08-03 09:51

@boenki: I'd say "single application instance support".

boenki commented on 2014-08-03 09:47

@MeanEYE: ok, moved python2-gnomekeyring from depends to optdepends.
How can I explain the optdepend for python2-dbus in a SHORT sentence? :D

boenki commented on 2014-08-03 05:38

@MeanEYE: So, python2-gnomekeyring is an optional dependency?

MeanEYE commented on 2014-08-03 00:09

@boenki GnomeKeyring is used for safe password storage for remote mounts. We create our own keyring and store all passwords there. If this package is not available passwords can not be entered in Sunflower. Just a safety feature.

MeanEYE commented on 2014-07-31 11:39

We expose some functions such as creating a new tab (terminal or files) and focusing main window. We also expose this API interface so potential plugins can extend their functionality through DBus access. Mind you this is the first implementation of DBus so it's probably messy. Currently implemented functions are used to ensure single instance of program is allowed. Since DBus is optional we resort to using lockfiles if it's not available.

boenki commented on 2014-07-31 11:36

What extra functions does installing python2-dbus provide? I would add that to the PKGBUILD.
Any other comments how to improve the PKGBUILD are always welcome.

boenki commented on 2014-07-30 19:49

thanks Arseniy: I fixed it.

Arseniy commented on 2014-07-30 16:53

python2-dbus instead python-dbus

MeanEYE commented on 2014-07-25 13:20

New optional dependency python-dbus. Also, version 0.2-59 is out.

@boenki: Google Project Hosting disabled downloads. New versions will be available here:

Can you please update the PKGBUILD?

boenki commented on 2013-08-16 08:37

thanks mikecr & willemw: Both optdepends added.

mikecr commented on 2013-08-11 08:11

Hi, I believe this requires gvfs for the mount management to work. Perhaps that should be added as an optional dependency to the pkgbuild.

willemw commented on 2013-07-30 14:22

Add optdepends mutagen.

Genues commented on 2013-03-29 10:41

Thank you!!!

P.S. Sorry for my bad English :)

MeanEYE commented on 2013-03-29 10:34

@Genues well, tell me what's not working well and I'll try to improve it.

Genues commented on 2013-03-29 09:21

MeanEYE commented on 2013-01-17 20:46

Thanks a bunch @boenki! :D

boenki commented on 2013-01-17 20:46

updated :)

MeanEYE commented on 2013-01-17 15:34

Oh, also, since this version python2-notify and vte are completely optional. Xterm, URxvt and others can be embedded as terminal tab.

MeanEYE commented on 2013-01-17 15:32

@boenki Can you please update checksums, I have repackaged archive to include some fixes and to reflect version which packages are built against.

Sorry for inconvenience.
Thanks for maintaining this. :)

Added desktop launcher, not sure if it works..

Anonymous comment on 2011-08-18 08:44

Updated package version.

Thanks for the desktop launcher, i'll add it tonight :)

Anonymous comment on 2011-08-17 20:42

This is a gui application, and deserves a .desktop launcher.

The source includes a png to copy to /usr/share/pixmaps.

Anonymous comment on 2011-08-11 07:10

Please add package "extra/vte" as dependency or optional dependency.
Missing of this package causes one nasty bug (file panel with only terminal tab can't get focus, and user can't add tab with file list on this panel)

Anonymous comment on 2011-07-22 23:35

It's a bug with gnome-vfs.

You can apparently solve it for now by installing this package from aur (haven't tried it myself):

python-notify has been added as a dependency

Mic92 commented on 2011-05-25 20:31

Please add python-notify as a dependency.
It refers to the same problem daedhel has.
