Wow, this really complements Plex. Though, could you please update the service file? At the moment it leaves the PID file behind so it won't start up. Here's a fix:

[Unit]
Description=Supersonic
After=network.target

[Service]
ExecStart=/var/supersonic/supersonic.sh
ExecStop=/var/supersonic/supersonic.sh
PIDFile=/var/supersonic/supersonic.pid
Type=forking

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

Yeah, I have problems as well: I updated the app a week ago to see if i was bumped to version 4.8 but all it did was render it unusable.... :(

The current version seems very broken. Key menus such as administration are missing, there is no option to add music to a playlist, or play it, existing external music shares have stopped working, and one can no longer play music from the mobile apps either. Everything worked till last week!

Are we getting an update adding systemd service support?
Thanks!!

I had an issue with "Video not found or access denied".
To make work video playback in jwplayer inside web page, I had to add symbolic link for ffmpeg to /var/supersonic/transcode/ like this:
ln -s /usr/bin/ffmpeg /var/supersonic/transcode/ffmpeg

However, I have issue with national characters like öúážř, even after checking all language variables like LANG, LC_*, it still don't read it good.

"git" should be added as a makedepends in PKGBUILD (I know sounds stupid, but yeh it is a dependency to makepkg!)

well i got supersonic to run in some weird way but it works...
seems like the daemon wont start at all. allways fails to start.
what i did to get supersonic working:
1)make sure the daemon is not running
2)# shown -R MYUSER:users /var/supersonic
3)$ cd /var/supersonic
4)$ java -Xmx300m -Dsubsonic.home=/var/supersonic -Dsubsonic.host=192.168.0.3 -Dsubsonic.port=4141 -Dsubsonic.httpsPort=0 -Dsubsonic.contextPath=/ -Dsubsonic.defaultMusicFolder=/mnt/storage/Music -Dsubsonic.defaultPodcastFolder=/var/music/Podcast -Dsubsonic.defaultPlaylistFolder=/var/playlists -Djava.awt.headless=true -verbose:gc -jar supersonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar

Build problems here as well, the fix posted by ork below didn't work for me. Glad this package has made it to the AUR, been waiting on switching from subsonic for a while.
