@rekoil, i guess because the name is a bit ambiguous though there's no package naming conflicts. OpenStack's swift comes to mind and then there is also the non related swift scripting lang and it seems an xmmp client. (there is also another package swift-language-git when i created this so i followed the naming convention)
Though i agree, i've renamed it to swift-bin and requested it be merged

Is there a reason we're not calling this package "Swift"? I mean we don't call python "python-language".

It may be helpful to add a provides=swift-language to both swift-language-git (of which I am the maintainer) and swift-language-bin
