I just saw this line in the PKGBUILD: echo "This package is meant to be used with RHEL 9 (ubi9) Swift releases.". I guess that answers my comment below.

How do I install this? The first time I run it it asks me to run swiftly init which presents me with the following choice:

Please select the platform to use for toolchain downloads:

0) Cancel
1) Ubuntu 24.04
2) Ubuntu 22.04
3) Ubuntu 20.04
4) Ubuntu 18.04
5) Fedora Linux 39
6) RHEL 9
7) Amazon Linux 2
8) Debian GNU/Linux 12

Theres no option for Arch here.

python36 is EOL since 2021 and will likely be deleted from AUR in the near future.
