No doubt, the state of the software isn't that promising. Rather huge technical debt, still depending on GTK2 which itself is dead. But it surprisingly still has some users (not me).
But as long as a source isn't completly dead or severe usage issues exist, it may stay. I'm one of the first who will make sure it is removed from the aurweb if the day comes where this should be removed :D Which may have been today if the fixes weren't that straight forward. (And Dunno what the stance is in regards of moderation today, but I had requests rejected because it was still working although EOL/dead/etc).

The actual errors would have been more interesting to paste.
And how about reaching out to the maintainer in question before instantly issuing a deletion request?
